Shag is interviewed for an article about Mamie Van Doren in the Orange County Register, hostess of January's "Blonde Bombshell" Group Show at M Modern -

"She reminds me a character from 'Valley of the Dolls,'" Agle says of Mamie, of whom he created a new painting for the show. "A little bit decadent Hollywood lifestyle - not decadent in a bad way, in a good way.

"I think of her as someone (for whom) the idea of who she is is as famous or more famous than who she is as an actress," he says.
