News from Duchess Cinderella about Shag With A Twist -
We are very pleased to announce that Shag with a Twist was awarded a prestigious 2005 Ovation Award at ceremonies held last night at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. The Ovation Awards are presented by the LA Stage Alliance and are considered LA’s equivalent to the Tony’s.

The competition was fierce. A record 409 productions registered for the Ovation Awards with 79 of them receiving at least one nomination. Awards were given to only 29.

Shag with a Twist took home the prize for Best “Costume Design Large Theatre.” Fellow nominees in this category included two major Music Center Theatre Group productions (The School for Scandal at the Taper and A Perfect Wedding at the Kirk Douglas) and four national traveling shows (remounts of Miss Saigon, Peter Pan, My Fair Lady and Grand Hotel). We’re even more proud to be acknowledged for an original work in this category.

Congratulations to Josh Agle (aka, Shag) for his incredible costume designs and to Joel Berlin for bringing those designs to life!

We are currently in talks with one of the largest hotel & casino groups in Las Vegas to take Shag there. We’ve also had continued dialogues with prospective venues and sponsors interested in a tour. Last night’s award win will certainly help increase attention in the show and insure that it has a life beyond its initial LA run.

Thanks for your continued support and well wishes!

Interesting question from Jeff showed up in the e-mail, maybe someone out there knows - what is Shag's birthdate?
Do you know Josh's birthdate? I was debating with my girlfriend as to what sign he is, but I can't find it anywhere.
All i know is the standard bio line of "born in 1962 in Sierra Madre, California, SHAG, the alter ego of illustrator and painter Josh Agle, grew up in Hawaii and Southern California." Is there anyone out there can help out Jeff?

(i'm not a very good stalker, am i? To be honest, my interest in his personal life is nil. He's just like you or i. To paraphrase famed Blue Öyster Cult producer Bruce Dickinson, he puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us. Except, once he gets those pants on, he paints some amazing pictures.)
