The interview with Shag must have happened in late August/early September - these paintings "L.A. Modern (Night)", "The Amoralists" ) (both from "L.A. By Day/Night"), and "Grace" (from "Tiki Art Too") are still in his studio.

Looking again at the L.A. By Day/Night show, it's like a kick in the gut that "West Coast Jazz" is the show print.
